Every 3rd Saturday @ 10am
Gather together with like-minded people who enjoy nature and creativity at this monthly nature journaling walk. No art experience is necessary. You need something to draw on and draw with. Bring your favorite color tools along if you have them (colored pencils, watercolor, etc.) Learn as you observe nature and get drawing and art tips along the way. This is free for all ages and held outdoors. Meet in the upper parking lot at the Clubhouse.

****Animal Tracking Walk at Frog Hollow Nature Area
Friday, September 27th at 12:30 PM
Follow Brian Mohn along the trails and creek searching for wildlife using plants, soil, footprints scat and geography.
Brian is a member of the Pennsylvania Trappers Association and Delaware Valley Fern and Wild Plant Society and will identify plants that wildlife utilize or avoid.
Brian is also a licensed responsible trapper.
This program brought to you by the Schuylkill County Conservancy, is free and open to the public.
It is suitable for teens and adults.
The walk is over some uneven trails so wear appropriate footwear and is being held rain or shine.

Bring something to draw or write on and something to draw with and you are ready to experience the joy of nature journaling. You don't need to be an artist to participate! We'll look closely at the forest around us and share observations through various activities that will lead us to see closely. Bring color supplies if you'd like. Wear appropriate shoes or boots; trails can be muddy and uneven. No pets allowed for this program. This is open to folks of all ages that are able to negotiate the trails. In the event of rain we will walk to the pavilion for our sketching activities.

Celebrate the outdoors with the Schuylkill County Conservation District! Enjoy free all-day activities like pumpkin painting, scavenger hunts, crafts, and more. Check out local businesses vendors who will delight you from Penn State Master Naturalists to Splash the Clown. Special entertainment throughout, including a nature hike. We hope to see you there!
